The first area that comes to mind is accountability! Because I don't have an "aggressive" committee, it is easy to fall victim to avoidance! Dissertation consulting requires me to continually push forward.

Dissertation consulting and coaching is the reason that I finished my dissertation. I do not know how anyone can really get through this process without the guidance of someone who has been through the same process and was successful. My professors were great when teaching courses, but they did not have the time available to get me through the dissertation.
